On Thursday, March 6, 2024, the Translation Department of our college, together with the Kurdistan Center for Arts and Culture and Kashkul Center, in the distinguished presence of the Dean of the College of Language, and esteemed faculty members and students, the translated book The Food of the Mosque Servant was read and introduced.

At the commencement of this momentous occasion, Professor Trifa Omar, the head of the translation department, delivered a speech, expressing gratitude and extending heartfelt thanks to the Dean of the College of Language, professor Shakhawan Jalal Haji Faraj for their unwavering support of such events, and underscored a commitment to supporting endeavors dedicated to the betterment of the Kurdish society. Subsequently, it was emphasized that the collaborative effort between the translation department, the Kurdistan Center and the Kashkul Center, in respects of introducing the Kurdish worldview and philosophy to the world, by reading and presenting Hazhar’s book (The Food of the Mosque Servant), translated into English by Ms. Shene Mohammed, was appreciated and regarded as a valuable asset for the nation. Later on, Shene Mohammed, the book’s translator and the director of the Translation Department of the Kurdistan Center for Arts and Culture, Dr. Alana Marie Levinson-LaBrosse, the director and founder of Kashkul Center for Arts and Culture at the American University of Iraq-Sulaimani, and Sarwar Taha, the director of Special Projects at Kashkul, introduced the book to the audience in both Kurdish and English language. And then, the floor was opened for discussion with the audience. The event wrapped up with accolades and critiques from both the presenters and the audience regarding the translation of the book.

ڕۆژی پێنجشەممە ڕێككەوتی ٦/٣/٢٠٢٤ بەشی وەرگێڕان لەگەڵ ناوەندی كوردستان بۆ هونەر و كولتوور و ناوەندی كەشكۆڵ، بە ئامادەبوونی ڕاگرایەتیی كۆلێجی زمان و مامۆستایان و خوێندكاران، خوێندنەوە و ناساندنیان بۆ كتێبی وەرگێڕاوی (چێشتی مجێوەر) كرد، لە دەستپێكی چالاكییەكەدا گوتەی سەرۆكایەتیی بەشی وەرگێڕان لەلایەن پ.د. تریفە عومەر پێشكەش كرا، كە جگە لەوەی سوپاسی ڕاگری كۆلێجی زمان بەڕێز پ. د. شاخەوان جەلال حاجی فەرەج كرا، بۆ هاوكاریكردنی ئەم چەشنە بۆنانە، هەروەها تێیدا جەخت لە پشتگیریكردنی سەرجەم ئەو كارانە كرایەوە، كە خزمەت بە گەشەكردنی كۆمەڵگە و نەتەوەی كورد دەكات، لەم سۆنگەیەوە ئاماژە بەوە درا كە ئەم كارە هاوبەشەی نێوان بەشی وەرگێڕان و ناوەندی كوردستان و كەشكۆڵ، لە ڕوانگەی ناساندنی دونیابینی و فەلسەفەی كورد بە جیهان، لە خوێندنەوە و ناساندنی كتێبی (چێشتی مجێوەر)ی مامۆستا هەژار، كە لەلایەن بەڕێز شێنێ محەمەد بۆ سەر زمانی ئینگلیزی وەرگێڕاوە، بەرز دەنرخێنرێت و بە سەرمایەیەكی نیشتمانی وێنا دەكرێت.
دواتر لەلایەن وەرگێڕی كتێبی (چێشتی مجێوەر) شێنێ محەمەد، بەڕێوەبەری بەشی وەرگێڕانی ناوەندی کوردستان بۆ هونەر و کولتوور، ئالانا لیڤنسۆن-لابرۆس، بەڕێوەبەر و دامەزرێنەری کەشکۆڵ، کە ناوەندی هونەر و کولتوورە لە زانکۆی ئەمریکیی عێراق- سلێمانی، سەروەر تەها بەڕێوەبەری پڕۆژە تایبەتەكان لە ناوەندی كەشكۆڵ، بە هەردوو زمانی كوردی و ئینگلیزی، كتێبەكە بە ئامادەبووان ناسێنرا، پاشان دەرگای گفتوگۆ لەنێوان پێشكەشكاران و ئامادەبووان كرایەوە، بە پەسن و ڕەخنە و باسكردنی چۆنییەتیی وەرگێڕانی كتێبی ناوبراو لەلایەن پێشكەشكاران و ئامادەبووانەوە، كۆتایی بە چالاكییەكە هێنرا.
