The Translation Department at the College of Language of Suleiman University, in the esteemed presence of the Governor of Sulaimani and the Dean of the College, hosted a seminar on May 6, 2024 in the Hall of Prof. Ezadin Mustafa Rasoul. The event featured Prof. Shuan Jaafar, a lecturer at the University of Strasbourg in France, focusing on the intricacies of translating from Kurdish to French. Discussions centered on the author’s biography and experiences, with particular emphasis on the book “Mountains of Freedom, Paranorma of Iraqi Kurdish Theater.” Engaging dialogue ensued, with participants posing questions and sharing insights, culminating in a successful conclusion to the seminar.

On May 2, 2024, Sulaimani University’s College of Language, Arabic Department, orchestrated a cultural excursion for their first-year students to the Endowment Library in Sulaimani. The primary aim of this outing was to acquaint students with the process of borrowing books from the library, and getting information on manuscripts and magazines essential for their future research endeavors in these areas.
In line with their academic goals, students specifically requested books relevant to their field of study and expressed their intention to conduct research on professional skills related to the lecture of Critical Thinking.The research endeavors of these budding scholars will be under the expert guidance and supervision of Dr. Rojan Khaznadar and Ms. Tara Ismael, ensuring comprehensive support throughout the research process.

لە کۆلێژی زمان خولیکی تۆپی پێ بەڕێوە چوو کە لە لایەن نوێنەریاتی گشتی کۆلێجی زمانەوە ڕێک خرابوو ، کە لە حەڤدە تیپ پێکهاتبوو و سەرجەم بەشەکانی کۆلێژ تێیدا بەشدار بوون، بە سپۆنسەریی سپۆرت  چێک سەنتەر  و بە هاوکاریی نوێنەری گشتیی بەشەکان، یاریی کۆتایی لەنێوان هەردوو تیپی قۆناغی چواری بەشی کوردیی ئێواران و قۆناغی دووی بەشی ئینگلیزیی بەیانیان بەڕێوە چوو، یاری کۆتایی خولەکە بە ئامادەبوونی بەڕێز د. شاخەوان جەلال حاجی فرج  ڕاگری کۆلێجەمان  و بەڕێزان سەرۆکی بەشی ئینگلیزی و لێپرسراوی هۆبەی خوێندنی باڵای کۆلێجەکەمان بەڕێوەچوو کە بە سەرکەوتنی ئینگلیزی کۆتایی بە یارییەکە هات.
بە ناوی کۆلێژی زمانەوە پیرۆزبایی لە تیپی براوە دەکەین کە بە ڕەوشتێکی بەرزی وەرزشییەوە توانیان سەرکەوتن بەدەست بهێنن. دەستخۆشی زۆریشمان بۆ تیپی کوردی کە توانیان پلەی دووەم بەدەست بهێنن.
لە کۆتاییدا دەستخۆشی لە هەردوو خوێنکاری پەروەردەی وەرزش (هەردی عەبدولڕەحمان حضر و سورێن محەمەد عەبودڵڵا) دەکەین کە ناوبژیوانی یاریی پێش کۆتایی و یاریی کۆتایی خولەکەیان کرد

A football tournament was held for our esteemed College of Language, graced by the presence of the Dean of the College of Languages, the Head of the English Department, and the Head of the Higher Education unit. This exhilarating event witnessed the participation of seventeen teams, showcasing the remarkable enthusiasm and sportsmanship of our departments.

Sponsored by the generous support of Sport Check Center and facilitated by the dedicated efforts of the departmental representatives of our college, the tournament was a resounding success.

As the College of Language, we extend our warmest congratulations to the triumphant English Department for emerging as the victors of this thrilling competition. We also commend the Kurdish team for securing the second place in the tournament.

Special recognition is due to two exceptional students from the Physical Education Department, Hardy Abdulrahman Hader and Suren Mohammed Abdullah, for their impeccable refereeing throughout the semi-final and final matches.

At the final, the rewards were distributed by the Dean to the succeeded teams, adding a special touch of recognition and appreciation to their achievements.

Once again, congratulations to all participants for making this event a memorable success.
