ڕۆژی ١٥/٥ ئ هەموو ساڵێک لە لایەن کۆنگرەی نەتەوەیی ” کە نە کە” بەر لە دە ساڵێک بە زۆرینەی دەنگی پارتە سیاسییە کوردیەکانی ئەندام لەم کۆنگرەیەدا، دەستنیشان کراوە وەک ڕۆژی زمانی کوردی. بەو بۆنەیەوە وەک بەرز نرخاندنێکی ئەو یادە ڕۆژی ١٦/٥/ ٢٠٢٤ کۆلێجی زمان هەستا بە ڕێکخستنی سیمینارێک بۆ بەڕێز ( د.مەریوان عومەر حەسەن) لە ژێر ناونیشانی (ڕۆژی زمانی کوردی) وە سەرتای سیمینارەکە پیرۆزبایی ڕۆژی زمانی کوردی لە ئامادەبوان کرا و دواتر تیشک خرایە سەر گرنگی گۆڤاری ” هاوار ١٩٣٢-١٩٤٢” ، کە لە ”شام” ی پایتەختی دەوڵەتی سوریا دەدەچوو.

May 15 of each year has been declared Kurdish Language Day by the KNK National Congress, following a majority vote by Kurdish political parties ten years ago. To commemorate this anniversary, the College of Language organized a seminar on May 16, 2024, featuring Dr. Marywan Omar Hassan under the title “Kurdish Language Day.”
The seminar began with congratulations to the audience on the anniversary of Kurdish Language Day. Following this, the significance of the magazine Hawar (1932-1942), published in Damascus, Syria, was highlighted. Launched by Mir Jalladit Ali Badr Khan, Hawar played a crucial role in raising awareness about the Kurdish language and cultural identity.
The seminar was enriched by participants’ suggestions and comments, and concluded on a positive note.

On Monday, May 13, 2024, a delegation comprising lecturers and researchers specializing in linguistics and literature from Iranian universities, led by Mr. Hassanpour, the head of the Cultural Relations Department of the Islamic Republic of Iran, visited Sulaimani. The primary aim of their visit was to engage closely with the faculty members of the Persian Department of our college, fostering an exchange of scholarly ideas and perspectives. As part of their itinerary, the delegation, accompanied by the head of our Persian Department, explored various sections of Sulaimani University’s Central Library.

The Translation Department at the College of Language of Suleiman University, in the esteemed presence of the Governor of Sulaimani and the Dean of the College, hosted a seminar on May 6, 2024 in the Hall of Prof. Ezadin Mustafa Rasoul. The event featured Prof. Shuan Jaafar, a lecturer at the University of Strasbourg in France, focusing on the intricacies of translating from Kurdish to French. Discussions centered on the author’s biography and experiences, with particular emphasis on the book “Mountains of Freedom, Paranorma of Iraqi Kurdish Theater.” Engaging dialogue ensued, with participants posing questions and sharing insights, culminating in a successful conclusion to the seminar.
